What is an Audiometry Test?
Our audiometry test is a helpful method to measure an employee’s hearing health proficiency. This test will merely take ten minutes to undergo and will provide valuable information on the strength of one’s hearing and how to be proactive in protecting their hearing when working in a noisy atmosphere.
This test typically consists of an employee sitting in our mobile facility that doubles as a sound booth that’s approved by the Canada Standards Association (CSA). Your employee will listen to various sounds, typically beeping tones, that gradually reduce the volume. A respond button can be pressed when a sound is heard until the beeping is no longer audible to the individual. Once the test has been completed, our professional technicians will thoroughly review the results with your employees and give them an abundance of information about their hearing status. If required, we will also give you and your employees additional support to supplement your Hearing Conservation Program.
Because the importance of this hearing test cannot be understated, we implore you to schedule your occupational audiometry test with Rocky Mountain Mobile Testing as soon as possible. We offer these essential services across Western Canada, including Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, and Lethbridge, as well as many areas in both Saskatchewan and Eastern BC.
