Mask Fit Testing In Calgary
“To protect workers from inhaling airborne silica, respiratory protective equipment is used. Many types of respirators are available and it is important to select the correct one(s) for the work being done.”

Qualitative vs. Quantitative Calgary Mask Fit Testing
Mask fit testing is vitally important for the safety of employees who are exposed to airborne hazards that cannot be eliminated. Respiratory protective equipment is a key component for all heavy-duty jobs; it is an OHS requirement that all workers wearing a mask must be fit tested. It is imperative that employees have masks that fit them securely and safely.
At Rocky Mountain Mobile Hearing Testing, not only do we provide mask fit testing for major industries in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Eastern BC, but we offer two distinct tests: Qualitative and Quantitative.
Our quantitative test measures how much the mask may leak using a Quantifit machine. It provides accurate results and is recommended for both half and full-face respirators. Our qualitative test, on the other hand, relies on the workers’ sense of taste, requiring them to identify substances in the air. It is recommended for those with N95 mask fittings and half-face masks. Upon completion of these tests, employees will receive a fit test certificate that conveniently fits in a wallet.
We are committed to providing you with respirator and mask fit testing that makes a difference to the safety of your workers.
